Prayerful Places

Here at Annunciation High in Emmitsburg, we are so blessed to be able to visit the places where saints and blesseds have walked

and to gaze around us at the mountains and heights that they pondered.

"We are half in the sky; the height of our situation is almost incredible" — St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

Student Life

Family First

At Annunciation High School, we value family and partner with parents to help their students grow in wisdom, maturity, and grace.

“The human family on earth is the image of the Holy Family in heaven. The family passes on the plan of God from one generations to another. It transmits the love and word of God through generations”

— St. Charbel Makhlouf

Womb to Tomb

Our students participate in a variety of pro-life activities, including the MD March for life and volunteering at the Catoctin Pregnancy Center.

Recess!

Each day students have the opportunity to get outside and have some fun.

“The alternation between work and rest, built into human nature, is willed by God Himself” — St. John Paul II

Drama

Students work together to put on a yearly drama production. Their first play (pictured above) was The Christmas Carol this past December 2024.

Spirit Days and Friday Activities

Once a month we take a break from classes and have some fun doing competitions. Additionally, every Friday students end classes for the week at 1 p.m. and begin their quarterly rotations of extracurricular classes, including home economics and various pick-up sports.

House System!

The House System at Annunciation honors four of the approved Marian apparitions. Each of these played a pivotal role in the founding and sustaining of the school.
