Annunciation High School first opened as Chesterton Academy of the Annunciation in September 2023 in the old schoolhouse on the grounds of St. Anthony Shrine in Emmitsburg, Maryland. In the fall of 2024, the school relocated to its current home on Creamery Road in Emmitsburg.
As of summer 2025, Annunciation High School has adopted its new name and the nationally known Catholic, classical curriculum of Kolbe Academy.
Annunciation High School is a Maryland Approved Non-Public Privately Funded School and remains a classical school firmly rooted in the Catholic faith.
